ENOUGH - God gave a loaf to every bird
God gave a loaf to every bird, / But just a crumb to me;
The bustle in a house
The morning after death
Is solemnest of industries
Enacted upon earth, --
The sweeping up the heart,
And putting love away
We shall not want to use again
Until eternity.
God gave a loaf to every bird, / But just a crumb to me;
If I may have it when it's dead / I will contented be;
There's been a death in the opposite house / As lately as to-day.
The grass so little has to do, -- / A sphere of simple green,
