To Those Who've Fail'd
To those who've fail'd, in aspiration vast, / To unnam'd soldiers fallen in front on the lead,
Of Equality--as if it harm'd me, giving others the same chances and
rights as myself--as if it were not indispensable to my own
rights that others possess the same.
To those who've fail'd, in aspiration vast, / To unnam'd soldiers fallen in front on the lead,
Apple orchards, the trees all cover'd with blossoms; / Wheat fields carpeted far and near in vital emerald green;
Aboard at a ship's helm, / A young steersman steering with care.
After the sea-ship, after the whistling winds, / After the white-gray sails taut to their spars and ropes,
